On Friday, we drove from Comber to Strangford and stopped at several different places.  James took us around to several back country roads where we saw this pretty docking place.  Then we went on around to Killyleagh were we saw a castle that’s still live in.  The best part of the day was the seals!  I’ve only ever seen them in zoos, and they were the cutest little guys ever!  I really wanted to put one in my suitcase and carry it home with me.  They were just wallowing about and some of them even put on a show for us!  I had no idea that seals would jump!  After that we we drove on around to Strangford where we ate lunch at the Cuan restaurant and then on over to the Castle Ward.  We toured the home there and saw a tree called a Monkey Puzzle.  Grammie and Gwen could remember there being one close by when they were little that they used to run their hands across.  The say it’s impossible for monkeys to climb.  If you look close you can see the spikes on the limbs and on the bark.

Beautiful harbor in Strangford where we had seafood chowder for supper.

You would see this bush all over the place… It’s called Gorse and Grammie and Gwen said they used to dye their Easter eggs with the yellow flower when they were young.
