Another quilt finished!

Final product! I don’t usually pick such “girly” colors, but I really love these fabrics!  The majority of the fabrics are from Cloud 9 Fabrics simpatico collection along with fabrics from Anna Maria Horner, Birch, Moda and more.  (There are few that I can’t remember the name of).  It looks like I finished just in time for winter!  It’s cold out there today!

  1. This is a beautiful quilt! I’m hoping to make one in the next couple of weeks for my new nephew. I am wondering if you could tell me what size of triangle you used here. Also, if you made a baby sized quilt, how many triangles wide and long did you use? Thank you for your help!

    • I don’t have the exact measurements that I used but here’s an estimate for you: The base of the triangles are cut to about 4.5 inches and they are about 5 inches tall. I used a seam allowance of 1/4 inch when I sewed the triangles together. It has 10 rows and each row has 17 triangles. If you notice in the pictures, you will have to cut the triangles along the left and right sides in half when you get the top entirely pieced. The final size of the quilt is 32 inches by 46 inches. I’d love to see pictures of your quilt when you finish!

      • Thank you! This will be really helpful! I’m excited to get started. The colors I’m using aren’t nearly as beautiful as the ones you used, but I will share when I’m done. Thank you!
